Winter is coming…and so is Greenville Winter Bike League

We are excited to announce that GVL WBL will feature TWO ride options - an “A” race-pace ride and a “B” pace ride. See the Ride Guide page for details and decide which is the best option for you.
Whip out your winter gear and clean those bikes. Join the Greenville cycling community for eight rides to get you ready to rip legs in the 2024 season. A few things we can promise: miles, steady pace, friendly competition, and cash prizes!
December is for building base miles - steady pace rides with increasing mileage.
Then comes January when the A-group will take on intermediate sprint and KOM/QOM competitions during rides. From women to pros to masters to amateur, we got the sprint zones.
Come to all A-group rides for a chance to win overall prizes and cash…
To make this even more exciting, we’ll be have a point system in place to award overall winners in each category for the entire series!
Things to consider:
The pace is steady on the flats, easy on the climbs, and pedal hard on the downhills.
Both groups will operate as a drop ride - please download the route to your bike computer before the ride.
The A-group will have a sag vehicle! They will follow the main group to assist with mechanicals, carry food/equipment, and monitor sprint zones. Please bring cash for sag driver tip - we recommend a tip of $5.
The A-group will have one stop per ride. Please show up to rides ready to take care of yourself, meaning you have flat repair, equipment, food, etc.

We are semi-fair weather riders..
Meaning rides will be cancelled for rain or snow only. Ride cancellations or changes will be posted to our Facebook page. So get your cold weather gear and hot hands ready!
